The new measures for the reduction of the coronavirus pandemic, announced this morning by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, were specialized by the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalias.

Horizontal measurements

The following measures apply nationally, regardless of security level:

The two new alarm levels

The Undersecretary also presented the changes to the health map, with the territory now divided into two zones instead of four. Specifically, the “green” and “yellow” areas are included in surveillance zone A and the “orange” and “red” areas are included in the highest risk zone B.

47 areas are at the surveillance level (A) and 27 are at the increased risk level (B).

Sport

At level A, training and competitions without spectators are allowed, a reduction to 75% of the athletes who participate, while special protocols are applied for training and competitions.

At level B Sports, all sporting events are prohibited without exception. Only individual outdoor sports are allowed. Super League football matches, A1 basketball and European matches such as the Champions League and Europa League are allowed.

Archaeological sites and museums

Archaeological sites and open / open museums will continue to operate on both levels, while the 1.5 meter distance between visitors should be observed.

The following applies to closed museums:

  • Level A: 2 meters away, one person per 15 m2. and group tours for up to 10 people
  • Level B: Its operation is suspended.

Gyms

  • Level A: Mandatory use of mask in all waiting areas and public areas, as well as in individual exercise. Whereas, one person for every 10 square meters is valid
  • Level B: Gymnasiums are suspended.

At level B, there is a suspension of audience attendance, there is a possibility with the online broadcast of the program.
