Today images of overcrowding were observed in the Constitution despite the blockade and the measures in place to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
The festive atmosphere, the decorations in the center of Athens but also the tiredness of the consecutive weeks of restrictions and prohibitions seems to have led to the relaxation of a part of the citizens who were in the center of Athens and specifically in Syntagma where they enjoyed Christmas decorations by taking photos.
On Saturday afternoon and Saturday night, Monastiraki, Syntagma and Ermou were “flooded” – for the data of the time – with people.
The click away that takes several days accounts for the slight increase in people on the streets, but Saturday’s images are cause for concern. It is recalled that the competent bodies have sounded the alarms several times, emphasizing that with the slightest relaxation, there may be a resurgence of the pandemic.

The crowded images, however, mobilized the authorities, so police squads, according to the STAR bulletin, begged people to mainly leave the stairs in front of Parliament, while movement controls were also carried out.
From the photos on Saturday it seems that the police controls are intensive both for the masks and for the reasons of the movement.
It is recalled that on Friday, December 18, 66,353 tests were carried out throughout Greece for measures against the spread of the coronavirus.
That same day, a total of 1,789 rapes were confirmed and 21 people were arrested.
