In 233 new cases of the new virus in Greece according to today’s information on the course of the pandemic in Greece.

Today we announce 233 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 20 were detected after controls on the country’s portals. The total number of cases is 10,757, of which 55.6% are men.

2,141 (19.9%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 4,779 (44.4%) are related to a known case.

38 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 68 years. 10 (26.3%) are women and the rest are men. 94.7% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 154 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have 2 more deaths registered and 273 deaths in total in the country. 99 (36.3%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.0% had some underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.

It is noted that the two dead are an 87-year-old woman in Mytilene and a 70-year-old woman who ended up in Sothyria.

The data presented refer to cases of the epidemiological surveillance of the new coronavirus disease (COVID19), based on the data communicated to EODY and registered until September 2, 2020 (3:00 p.m.). There are 233 new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease, of which 20 were identified after controls at the gates of the country. The total number of cases amounts to 10,757 (daily variation + 2.2%), of which 55.6% are men. There are 2 new deaths of COVID-19 patients, while a total of 273 deaths have been recorded since the start of the epidemic. The median age of the patients who died was 78 years. The number of patients treated by intubation is 38 (73.7% men). The daily distribution of confirmed cases is as follows (the line represents the total accumulated distribution of cases).
