The new cases confirmed by laboratory of the disease are 1914, of which 39 were identified after controls at the gates of the country. The total number of cases is 56,698 (daily variation + 3.5%), of which 54.2% are men.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 35, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 784 deaths have been registered, the median age of the patients who died is 79 years. The number of patients treated by intubation is 228 (75.0% men).
Of the total of 56,698 cases, 4,429 (7.8%) are considered related to travel from abroad, 15,678 (27.7%) are related to an already known case and the rest are not related to travel or any other known case or they are still under investigation.
The average age of the cases is 39 years (range 0 to 103 years), while the average age of death is 79 years (range 25 to 103 years).
Tested samples: From January 1, 2020 until today, in laboratories that test for the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and that systematically report to EODY all the samples that are analyzed, a total of 1941,656 clinical samples have been analyzed while EODY that performs Rapid Ag tests has tested 91989 samples.
