At a time when the entire planet is waiting for the coronavirus vaccine, which is expected to be our greatest weapon against the deadly virus, in our country the public seems divided regarding vaccination.

Indicative are the findings of two surveys, on vaccination in our country.

Specifically, in a Metron Analysis survey for MEGA, 51% said they would like to receive the vaccine when it launches in early 2021. However, one in 41% say no.

At the same time, in a Pulse survey for SKAI, in the same question 64% of respondents answered definitely yes or rather yes, while 30% answered probably no and definitely no.

The ages of the vaccine “negatives”

However, the ages of the vaccine “negatives” are also interesting.

In the Metron Analysis survey, the majority of people who say “no,” that is, 57% are in the 35-44 age group, followed by the 17-34 age group with 52% , from 45 to 54 with 39%, from 55 to 64 with 38% and 22% in those over 65 years of age.

Data for age groups are similar in Pulse’s research. Definitely yes or rather yes in a percentage of 82% of those over 60 years of age and in a percentage of 68% of those surveyed between 45 and 59 years of age.

By contrast, 17-29-year-olds are cautious: 51% say they definitely won’t or probably won’t, while 36% of 30-44-year-old respondents say they are negative.

It is observed, however, that regarding the question “when will they be vaccinated”, 55% responded in the first months. Specifically, 34% of respondents respond immediately, 21% after 2-3 months. On the other hand, 21% reply later and 16% never reply.

The “profile” of those who say no to the vaccine

Finally, 23% of the voters of ND would not have been vaccinated, as well as 41% of SYRIZA, 20% of KINAL and 49% of KKE.

In addition, according to the Metron Analysis survey, 50% of people who identify as “leftists” will not receive the vaccine, while the percentage drops to 31% in “center-left”.

In 36% of the “Centers” they say “no” and the percentage drops to 25% in the “Center-Right”, while in the case of “Right” they say no in 49%.
