Significantly reduced, compared to the previous days, cases of coronavirus appear in the country, with the epidemiological situation of the country – as scientists point out – at satisfactory levels.
However, like every day, Attica currently tops the list with the distribution of cases.
It is noted that during yesterday’s briefing at the Ministry of Health, Professor Vana Papaevangelou had pointed out that 1/3 of the cases are in Attica sounding the alarm. He noted that infectious disease specialists are most concerned about West Attica and the Central Sector of Athens, but noted that “our well-known RT index, which shows the virus transmission rate, is 0.91, that is, below the Unit”.
In particular, 214 of the 510 total cases are identified in the Basin EODY announced, while in Thessaloniki 67 are registered.
Other regional units in the country also have a higher number of cases. These are Larissa with 19 cases, Acaya with 18, Serres and Halkidiki with 17, Pieria with 15 and Boeotia with 13.
