The country is under quarantine, “sealed” by the coronavirus in an effort to prevent further spread and not put hundreds of lives at risk.
“Under no circumstances should we become Italy with the thousands of deaths and the forced selection of people who would die outside the ICU.” This is the challenge facing the government and that is why it led to the difficult decision.
A decision that will be announced in a few hours by the Prime Minister, and specifically at 12, together with the chief scientist, Sotiris Tsiodras.
The cube was thrown yesterday afternoon when infectious disease specialists analyzed the data to the prime minister. Not only the new registry of 2,646 cases, but mainly the 179 intubated and the dozens who are in the ICU without a respirator.

However, parents are very concerned about what will happen to the schools, as the information on whether or not they will be open remains unclear. It should be noted that the Associate Professor of Epidemiology – Preventive Medicine, Dimitris Paraskevi, who is a member of the Committee of Specialists of the Ministry of Health, said that the Committee recommended that only elementary schools be left open to minimize the possibility of spreading the virus to children. students.
What will remain open
The implementation of the new measures will begin in the early hours of Saturday. Supermarkets, butchers and other grocery stores, gas stations and pharmacies will remain open. Citizens will be able to travel after sending an SMS to 13033 with the reason that they must go somewhere.
From 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., traffic will be completely prohibited and only with the role of the employer will this possibility be facilitated.

- Option 1: Travel for health reasons (go to a pharmacy, visit a doctor or go to a hospital or health center).

- Option 3: Go to public service, if electronic or telephone service is not possible only for urgent needs, after scheduling an appointment. Go to the bank, if the electronic transaction is not possible

- Option 5: Go to a ceremony (for example, funeral) under the conditions provided by law.
- Option 6: Physical exercise outdoors or movement with a pet, individually or in pairs of two (2) people, provided that in the latter case the necessary distance of one and a half meters (1.5) is observed.
According to the information, the suggestion to impose a blockade on the country was made to stop the aggressive spread of the virus, mainly in northern Greece, and to stop the flow of patients to the ICU, leading to the collapse of the healthcare system. with mathematical precision.
Kikilias: The confinement is a month
