Koronaios: Shock in Kozani for new measures: the scenarios for the mini blockade in Athens too

[ad_1]

Kozani is the first region of the country, where a local blockade was imposed and set at alarm level 4 (“Increased risk”), however, eyes are also on Attica, where at least half of the cases of coronaviruses are detected daily.

A month has passed since the imposition of new measures in Attica to deal with the coronavirus, but the daily cases registered in the basin remain at high levels.

The measure of the confinement in Attica is, of course, on the table, if deemed necessary. On the other hand, for the moment, the panorama at the political level is that the second wave of the pandemic is being adequately addressed, which is attributed to the prudence of the majority of citizens.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is monitoring the data and experts’ proposals and will not hesitate to impose a lockdown on Attica if deemed necessary.

The prime minister’s associates clarify that he listens to infectious disease specialists, monitors the situation and if he deems it necessary will quarantine Attica as well.

The president of the Association of Hospital Doctors of Athens – Piraeus, Matina Pagoni, stated that “if we don’t wear masks outdoors, things get difficult”, speaking of a very slight decrease in cases in Attica, which is not enough .

Yesterday, 207 of the 453 cases were registered in Attica, which is still at level 3 of the health insurance map, with the highest risk campaign, that is, level 4 threatening it.

The coronavirus and the message of “112” in Kozani

According to the deputy minister of Civil Protection, the decision of the experts occurred since in the last 14 days 227 active cases of coronavirus were detected in the area.

“112” sent a message to the residents of Kozani on the occasion of the alarm level category 4 (Increased risk), which has been implemented since Friday morning in the specific regional unit.

“You must wear a mask, keep your distance, wash your hands,” says the “112” message.

Measurements in Kozani

In the “Society Hour MEGA” program, the mayor of Kozani, Lazaros Maloutas, spoke about the extraordinary blockade that was imposed on the northern city of Greece with the dramatic increase in coronavirus cases. Although the high number of cases in recent days had caused concern to the inhabitants of Kozani, they were all surprised by the decision of the local quarantine.

According to the mayor, most of the cases come from young ages.

The emergency measures will be valid from 6 a.m. on Friday, October 16 until the 29th of the month. The category of alarm level 4 – Increased risk provides for the mandatory use of a mask in all indoor and outdoor workplaces, the suspension of all meetings in public and private spaces, as well as the prohibition of movement outside the Regional Unit by Kozani.

A problem has arisen with the issue of the operation of the schools, as it is mentioned in the announcement of the GGP that they will remain open normally with the mandatory use of masks everywhere. On the contrary, for Higher Education Institutions (IES) only teleeducation will be applied.

In relation to the operation of the following: public services, private companies, transportation, food stores (for example, supermarkets, mini-markets, bakeries, butchers, fishmongers), public markets, places of worship / religious ceremonies, hospitals, hospitals, Centers , nursing homes, centers for the chronically ill, structures and shelters for vulnerable groups, transitional shelters for the homeless, social structures for the immediate treatment of poverty (dormitories, nurseries, social groceries, public pharmacies, public pharmacies), public pharmacies , Camps, Driver Training Activities and Vehicle Technical Inspection Services, the provisions of the Official Gazette, Edition B, 4484 / 11-10-2020 apply.
