The owner of a nursing home in Agios Stefanos ended his life, where three cases of coronavirus were detected in the previous days.

Specifically, two positive employees and an elderly woman were identified in the nursing home.

According to the first information, the 41-year-old man had recently inherited the business from his father and was facing financial problems.

According to the same sources, the man allegedly committed suicide with a carbine and left a letter explaining the reasons for the act.

Three cases of coronavirus in the nursing home

It is noted that in this nursing home it was confirmed that an elderly prisoner and two employees tested positive for the coronavirus and were isolated at their home.

In fact, the owner of the nursing home said Tuesday, EODY had gone in for a test on Sept. 16 and they all tested negative. Ladder was called again as a precaution by him and it was last Thursday (October 15).

Rapid tests were then run and an employee’s sample came back positive.

“We immediately got a molecule to confirm it and EODY screened everyone in the nursing home,” he said, explaining that he had been retrained and that they had all undergone two diagnostic tests since. During the second control, the other two cases (the elderly prisoner and the second worker) were detected.

“All three patients are asymptomatic,” said the owner of the nursing home.

The tragic event was reported by the mayor of Dionysos, Giannis Kalafatelis.

In a post on social media he mentions:

“Unfortunately, the deceased took his own life, for reasons not yet clear, while as we all know, a few days ago it was made public that a guest and two employees of the Unit that he maintained were found positive for Covid-19.

»Ο Δ.Κ. He was a prominent member of the Dionysos Municipality society, an excellent businessman, and a distinguished scientist, especially loved by our local community.

I want to say that I am shocked by the tragic news.

On behalf of my colleagues, I also express our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and our full support as may be necessary.

“Have a good paradise …”
