Koronaios: New measures in 22 sectors and activities by region

The new restrictive rules will take effect from next Tuesday, November 3, the day the country enters a mini-blockade due to the coronavirus.

According to the presentation of the new measures made by Nikos Hardalias and Michalis Chrysochoidis as of November 3, the country will be divided into two zones, instead of the four (green, yellow, orange, red) that were in force until today.

The new zones will be called “Greater Vigilance” (A – yellow) and “Greater Risk” (B – red) and, today, according to the new map of health risks, 47 and 27 areas are included respectively. The “green” and “yellow” areas are included in the highest surveillance zone A and the “orange” and “red” areas are included in the highest risk zone B.

Horizontal measurements

The following measures apply nationally, regardless of security level:

• Mandatory use of mask everywhere, indoors and outdoors.
• Traffic restriction from 00:00 to 05:00
• Prohibition of boarding MMM without the use of a mask.
• Mandatory teleworking at least 50% in the public and private sector
• Distance education in universities (excluding clinics and laboratories for the elderly)
• Suspension of a visit to welfare structures (MFI, etc.)

On the other hand, retail, wholesale, schools, archaeological sites, hotels, industry, hairdressers remain open.

New detailed measures for each sector and activity:

Now, with the new measures, the following applies by sector:

1) Sports

At level A, training and competitions without spectators are allowed, a reduction to 75% of the athletes who participate, while special protocols are applied for training and competitions.

At level B, all sporting events with exceptions are prohibited. Only individual outdoor sports are allowed, without a coach.

Also, individual sports are allowed only in open facilities and for specific sports, such as tennis, shooting, archery, sailing (with only one crew member), rowing (with only one crew member), kayaking canoeing (with only one crew member), water skiing, athletics, swimming. (offshore), cycling, golf, horse riding and motor sports.

Regarding the conduct of matches, only the A ‘National Football League (Super League) and the A1 National Basketball Division (Basket League), as well as European matches (Champions League and Europa League) are allowed according to the special protocols of FIFA and FIBA.

2) Archaeological sites and museums

Archaeological sites and open / open museums will continue to operate on both levels, while the 1.5 meter distance between visitors should be observed.

The following applies to closed museums:

• Level A: 2 meters away, one person per 15 m2. and group tours for up to 10 people
• Level B: Its operation is suspended.

3) Gyms

• Level A: Mandatory use of mask in all waiting areas and public areas, as well as in individual exercise. Whereas, one person for every 10 square meters is valid
• Level B: Gymnasiums are suspended.

4) Courts

At level A (yellow), up to 30 people are allowed in the courtroom and, in consultation with the judicial administrations, measures will be implemented to prevent collusion in the secretariats.

At level B ‘(red), the special protocols for the operation and conduct of trials are applied, which are described in detail in the Joint Ministerial Decision that is expected to be issued.

5) Fairs and Sunday markets

Level A (yellow) provides 50% vendor participation and a 5 meter distance between counters.

At level B (red) all your operations are suspended.

6) Focus

Level A (yellow) provides for the mandatory use of a mask for staff and for the waiting public, 6 people per table and fullness up to 50% of the capacity depending on the license. Additionally, table seating distances are defined by the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision. At level A, there will be a restriction on the opening hours, that is, the restaurants will be closed from 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., with the exception of take-out and delivery, while there is a general ban on the sale of alcohol during these hours and a ban on all kinds of live events. music.

At level B ‘(red) a complete suspension of the operation is provided, with the exception of takeout and delivery.

7) Food stores (supermarket, mini market, bakeries, butchers, fishmongers)

The following is provided at both levels:

• 1 person for every 10m2. (4 people from 20 to 100 m2 and 1 person for each extra 10 m2).
• Special disinfection in baskets and trolleys with and without wheels.

At level B (red), the operation of these stores is also provided during the weekend.

8) Nightclubs (banquets, bars)

Level A (yellow) provides for the mandatory use of a mask for waiting staff and public, 6 people per table and exclusively seated.

For entertainment centers with a capacity of more than 300 people, a fullness of 50% of the capacity is provided with a maximum of 300 seats, while for places with a capacity of up to 300 people, a fullness of 50 is provided. % of capacity with a maximum of 150 seats. A distance of 1.8 m is also provided. between tables, restriction of opening hours (closed from 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.), as well as a total ban on all kinds of live music.

At level B ‘(red), its operation is suspended.

9) Cinemas

Level A (yellow) provides 50% integrity and mandatory e-ticketing.

On level B (red), movie screenings are suspended.

10) Hairdressing and personal hygiene services

The following measures apply to both levels:

11) Refugee center

Level A (yellow) provides for the movement of guests at a rate of up to 15% per hour, with a maximum of 750 guests per day, as directed by the commander.

While in level B ‘(red) there is an exit suspension.

12) Popular markets

For level A, the participation of 65% of the vendors is expected, with a distance of 3 meters between the stalls and the operation of parallel markets.

For level B, a participation of 50% of the vendors is foreseen, with a distance of 5 meters between the stalls and also the operation of parallel markets.

13) Retail

The same measures apply to retail at both levels.

• Area based restriction
• 1 person per 10 square meters. (4 people 20-100 m2 and 1 person for every 10 m2 extra)

14) Transportation

Both levels provide up to 65% occupancy on public transport and on ships.

Regarding taxis, on level A up to 3 passengers are allowed, while on level B ‘(red) only one passenger is allowed. Also in level B ‘(red), up to 3 people are allowed in cars (except for families).

15) Hospitals and diagnostic centers

It provides assistance per patient and limitation of scheduled surgeries up to 20% in level A (yellow) and up to 80% in level B (red). With the exception of both levels, oncological and high-urgency cases.

16) Playing fields (covered)

Level A provides for 1 child for every 5 square meters. and up to 50 children, mandatory use of a mask for children over 4 years old and 1 assistant per child.

It is also foreseen that the distances to the table seats and the hygiene rules are respected.

At level B ‘(red), the operation of the playgrounds is suspended.

17) Rehearsals and television shootings

Mandatory use of a mask in rehearsals and for those not on set, as well as recording of entrances and exits.

At level A (yellow) there is also a distance of 1.5 meters for the actors and 2 meters for choruses and winds in rehearsals, while at level B (red) the projected distance between the actors increases to 2 meters .

18) Assemblies

• At level A: Take measures to limit concentrations based on the epidemiological level of neighboring areas and the entire country. Up to 50 people, with a mandatory distance of 1.5 meters.
• At level B: suspension of all public meetings under the Constitution

19) Concerts and theatrical performances

At level A, up to 50% indoor occupancy is required. The issuance of an electronic ticket is mandatory.

Performances in indoor stadiums and gyms are suspended.

At level B, there is a suspension of audience attendance, there is a possibility with the online broadcast of the program.

20) Conferences and exhibitions

Level A provides 1 person for every 10 square meters. at least up to 100 participants, in addition to maintaining a distance of 1.5 meters between the participants.

At level B (red), this activity is suspended.

21) Schools

Mandatory use of a mask for children over 4 years of age in both levels of health insurance (A and B).

22) Places of worship

In level A (yellow) 1 person is provided for every 10 square meters. and up to 50 people, seated. While in level B ‘(red) up to 9 people are allowed for all ceremonies and functions.
