Koronaios: Changes to the Health Insurance Map

With the spread of the coronavirus constantly expanding, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced new measures that will be implemented from early Saturday morning in all areas that are in danger level “red” and “orange”.

Thus, with the new data, the map of health security and protection against the Covid-19 disease is operational as of today, after its update.

As of today, Friday 23 October, the Kastoria Regional Unit is included in level 4 (Highest risk), while level 3 (increased vigilance) is now included in the Regional Units of Thessaloniki, Viotia, Larissa and Serres .

As for Ioannina, they remain at level 3 for now, however the situation will be reassessed on Saturday 24th October. At the same time, the Kozani Regional Unit remains at level 4.

Specifically for the Kastoria Regional Unit, the mandatory use of a mask applies to all indoor and outdoor workplaces, the suspension of all meetings in public and private spaces and the prohibition of movement outside the Kastoria Regional Unit, while from October 24 at 6 in the morning, the traffic ban also applies from 12:30 to 5:00 in the morning.

The coronavirus and the new measures

Likewise, the operation of the following is suspended:

– Courts, Prosecutors, Mortgage Offices, all types of Cadastral Offices and Branches of the agency “Hellenic Property Registry”

– Archaeological sites, museums, caves

– Live performances and auditions, other performing arts.

– Movie screenings

– Rehearsals, TV and shootings: Suspension of film and television shootings – Rehearsals via videoconference

– Nightclubs that include banquets, catering, bars

– Musical stage

It is observed that the operation of schools and all kinds of educational structures continues with the mandatory use of masks everywhere, while for Higher Education Institutions (IES) only tele-education will be applied.

In relation to the operation of the following: public services, private companies, transportation, food stores (for example, supermarkets, mini-markets, bakeries, butchers, fishmongers), public markets, places of worship / religious ceremonies, hospitals, hospitals, Centers , Elderly care units, centers for the chronically ill, structures and shelters for vulnerable groups, temporary shelters for the homeless, social structures for the immediate treatment of poverty (dormitories, nurseries, social groceries, public pharmacies, public pharmacies), public pharmacies Camps, Driver Training Activities and Vehicle Technical Inspection Services, the provisions of the Official Gazette, Edition B, 4484 / 11-10-2020 apply.

Of the 74 regional units in the country, 26 belong to level 1 (waiting), 22 to level 2 (under surveillance), 24 to level 3 (under reinforced surveillance) and 2 to level 4 (increased risk).

So far, based on the Health, Safety and Protection Charter, the Regional Units have been distributed as follows:

Level 1: Andros, Arcadia, Arta, Drama, Evros, Evritania, Ilia, Thassos, Thesprotia, Ithaca, Ikaria, Kavala, Kalymnos, Karpathos-Kasos, Kefallinia, Lassithi, Lefkada, Lemnos, Messinia, Milos, Silos, Tinos, Fokida , Chania.

Level 2: Etoloakarnania, Argolida, Grevena, Evia, Imathia, Corfu, Kilkis, Corinthia, Kos, Laconia, Magnesia, Naxos, Xanthi, Paros, Pieria, Preveza, Rodopi, Rhodes, Fthnioti, Fthnioti,

Level 3: East Attica, Achaia, Boeotia, North Athens, West Attica, Athens, Zakynthos, Heraklion, Thessaloniki, Thira, Ioannina, Karditsa, Kea-Kythnos, Athens – Larissa, Larissa South sector of Athens, Piraeus, Pella, Samos, Serres, Trikala.

Level 4: Kastoria, Kozani.

It is recalled, as reported by APE, that the Charter includes four levels of precautionary measures and regulations for each Regional Unit of the country (Level 1 – Preparation, Level 2 – Surveillance, Level 3 – Greater surveillance and Level 4 – Greater risk) and includes 74 Regional units of Greece at health, safety and security levels with the corresponding packages of measures that apply to all.

In turn, it is observed that for the regional units that are in level 3 (Greater Vigilance) and in level 4 (Greater risk), that is, in total for 26 regional units, from Saturday, October 24 at 6 in the morning, there is a traffic ban from 12:30 p.m. late until 5 in the morning. Also, as of October 24, the wearing of a mask becomes mandatory everywhere. The mask can be removed only in dining areas and only when customers are seated at the table.
