The number of new cases of coronavirus remains high.
Yesterday the new cases appeared slightly reduced, although more than 200, however the number of hospitalized and intubated remains at alarming levels.
The government launches a new communication campaign in order to convince citizens of the urgency of implementing the restrictive measures, so that they do not have to proceed with a general blockade for the second time, something that it is doubtful that the Greek economy will endure, that – we must not forget. that- the coronavirus “hit” before he managed to recover from the intensive care of the memoranda.
The experts examine daily the evolution of the coronavirus, but also the impact of the measures taken at the level of numbers, which will judge future decisions on the measures that may be taken in the future.

Since yesterday, the measure to prohibit the operation of kiosks, mini markets and other stores with alcohol has come into force from midnight to 5 in the morning, in order to avoid crowds in the squares, after the closing of the stores.
The measures under consideration
After the lockout of newsstands and retail stores, the government is considering curfew and universal masking.

68 intubated
At the same time, 68 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 70 years.
Of these, 16 (23.5%) are women and the rest are men. 86.8% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older.
Meanwhile, 200 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
