Kerameans put on a show with cubes for classes of 20 children – Education

A show with the hermit crab that will be available to the children of the Primary School on the occasion of the opening of the schools, “launched” the Minister of Education on social networks.

The “pagurino” are a donation from the Laskaridis Foundation and as announced by the minister, they are ready to be sold. The problem is, of course, that ministry preparation seems to be wearing thin at the moment in outfitting classrooms with these urchins.

The Minister of Education even published photos of the hermit crab that will be distributed to children and accompanied her publication with the following caption:

“More than 600,000 ponds, donated by the Ath. Laskaridis Foundation, are already on their way to all primary school students (public and private schools) in the country. A measure that protects the health of our children and at the same time cultivates their environmental awareness. “.

Unfortunately, Ms. Kerameos insists that classrooms can operate safely with the total number of students they “house” (increasing the average to 20 in large cities), and at a time when teachers are demanding a maximum of 15 students per class and increase the hiring of deputies, more than what the government has announced, in order to fully meet all the necessary educational needs.

The criticism from the opposition is strong, after all, the party rapporteurs at the joint meeting of the Education and Social Affairs commissions, pointed out that the issue of distancing is completely absent in the preparation for the opening of schools. As noted, everything is left to the use of the mask, while there is no increase in funding for infrastructure in schools.

At the same time, the ministry has not given a clear response to the request for massive and repeated tests to teachers and students so that there is immediate intervention in case of need, and to control the spread of the virus. Officially, the tests will be carried out by sampling, with an emphasis on areas with high viral load.

Cleanliness is also a big problem, as teachers are already in their schools as of September 1, but cleaning staff is expected to be placed next week. The cleaning staff is considered insufficient and teachers also request hiring in this area.

On the contrary, Ms. Kerameos advertises the hermit crab as a government “superspace”, which will be able to limit the transmission of possible cases within the school environment, with parents anxiously awaiting the opening of schools on the 14th of the month, worried by with the manipulations of the authorities.

And from the above, the following question arises ladies and gentlemen. What to do with permanent doctors so that the staff on duty, the increase in ICUs and equipped hospitals, more teachers and wards with fewer children, when you have a new hermit crab?
