On bad way little cat de Karpathos was adopted by the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakelaropoulou.
Mrs. Sakellaropoulou had visited recently in Karpathos, on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the liberation of the island.
During his visit, he met in person with representatives of the organization “Karpathos Animal Welfare Action”, Sofia Hira-Mikrou and Anna Katogyriti, on the occasion of World Animal Day.
There he met little Calypso, a cat for whom he had expressed the desire to adopt her.
Sofia Hira-Mikrou met with the President of the Republic last week, where she gave him the kitten.
In a post on Facebook, the Karpathos Animal Welfare Action, thanked Katerina Sakellaropoulou who honored the organization and opened her arms and her home for one of the kittens they rescued.
