It took four months, exhaustive investigations, and a drop of sweat given by DNA to arrest Teta Kampoureli’s husband, Vassilis Gurousis, as the man who allegedly broke into all four of the famous ladies’ lockers at Psychiko’s bank. The multi-activity businessman became widely known as the husband of the well-known beautician, when the former Kaisariani girl became a popular television presence.
He even gave a television interview about his stage productions, like the one in which he brought the famous Turk Burak Haki to Greece to perform with Christos Aivazis.
The charming Burak had burned hearts in “Kismet” and Vassilis Gurousis brought him to our country four years ago, when everything in his life seemed to flow perfectly. Just a few days ago, the kiss of the former fanartzis turned man on Kaisariani was sealed for his arrest for the Psychiko lockers thriller. Former acquaintance with the Authorities, he has been arrested and charged with theft, embezzlement and participation in a criminal organization that committed computer fraud. On Friday morning, head down, he walked past the investigator’s door to apologize, while a few minutes later his wife Teta Kambourelis arrived at the Evelpidon courthouse.
The one that declares from the first moment that the man in her life is innocent of what the authorities accuse him of, speaking of a conspiracy, while so far there has been no involvement in the case of the thriller. Guroussi’s accusations did not convince the investigator or the prosecutor, for which he was sentenced to preventive detention.
For the former Kaisariani girl, time seems to have stood still in the last 24 hours, experiencing a very different publicity than what she was used to. As a man who knows her said, “the time has come for Teta to be shot, according to the well-known Vandi song”, and indeed for those who turn the life of a popular girl around forever, thanks to his talent for painting and caring for nails!
Forever love at first sight
When you are a 14 year old girl, it is not difficult at all to fall in love with a good boy, three years older. What is difficult is this love to move on, to endure and to lead two little Kaisariani fatigued to the footsteps of the church. On that historic day in 1979, a 17-year-old man walking through the streets of the area immediately saw his wallet, which must have fallen from someone. A few minutes later he checked it and counted 110,000 drachmas, as well as a bill in the name of a man, to whom he immediately sought to return his wallet. Not imagining that finding the wallet would acquaint him with the woman of his life, fan Vassilis Gurousis contacted the owner of the wallet. The appointment took place at Teta Kamboureli’s family home, as the lost wallet belonged to the partner of one of her older sisters. When he saw Teta smile, then 14 years old, it seems that something slipped into the heart of the young man, who began to besiege the object of his desire, in love with his scherzo. After more than four decades, he’s still with her, only the celebrity beautician-teleperson is now on call to arrange the arrest of her 58-year-old husband for the notorious robbery of the lockers. Many people who heard the news wondered if the famous ladies who lost jewelry and money from their lockers were clients of the beautician at the store she maintains in Chalandri. A charming and popular girl who when she met Vassilis Gurousis decided that she would no longer have eyes for another man in her life.
When they married, Teta had already started working as a beautician and did various jobs, never imagining that his wife would build her own personal legend.
Teta’s fame spread quickly, like the cool breeze rustling the leaves in the Kaisariani Forest, where the couple used to go for walks. A good conversation brought the other and some beastly SUVs and shiny cars of the time began to pile up in the alleys of his neighborhood so that their owners could be cured by the miraculous hands of the young Teta. It is said that her mother always made sure to treat her daughter’s clientele, like a bowl of bean soup or some oily traditional consolation, usually causing embarrassment to the ladies of the northern suburbs left in the experienced hands of Teta. . This, of course, did not last long, as the young, active and hyperactive manicurist quickly made the decision to serve her select clientele at home by motorcycle. It circulated for several years throughout Attica in order to serve its growing clientele, but mainly with glamor and prestige, while learning perhaps the most guilty and “dirty” secrets of its clients, those that nest in the fingers of the hands and of the feet.
Her relationship with Roula Koromila turned out to be decisive for her, since she is perhaps the first – among equals at the time – in the domestic doubt that Teta can consider a true friend. The promising manicurist didn’t know about breaks and vacations, she didn’t chew remotely, she knew more than listening than talking, and in the end, who can ignore the psychotherapeutic dimension of limb care at home? Husbands of businessmen and shipowners, incubated, but also renowned celebrities and even politicians, were building the clientele that would make Teta an institution with its own “Teta beauty salon” on the Filothei border with Chalandri.
At the same time, Vassilis did his thing, left the fanartzidiko and over the years became an entrepreneur who was dedicated to catering and more, opening a cafe, a dance school and a playground. There were often tensions with the woman who stole her heart, as Teta worked constantly, while, as she has said, every time they quarreled, she was scolded by a child. She eventually bore her three children, Panagiotis, Christos, and Alexis, their married life flowed wonderfully as the time came for Teta to become even more famous through television. Everyone remembers the famous MEGA breakfast massage presented by Markos Seferlis and his wife, when Teta took off her dress and stayed in her fuchsia bikini, to be massaged by the hands of Stelios Kritikos. The latter unleashed the upper part of her bathing suit, in a scene that giganticized her legend that she enjoyed after the Panhellenic in “Just the two of us.” In an interview, he spoke about famous clients he has treated, such as the ethnic Konstantinos Karamanlis and the collector Alexandros Iolas, who passed away, but he never spoke about what he heard in villas and villas in Psychiko and Kifissia.
The night they did not forget
Five years ago, the couple was going to live a night of terror inside the house where they have been living permanently for the last few years, in Vari. It was 8:20 p.m. on Good Friday when three hooded robbers broke into one of the house’s windows and stormed in a few minutes after her son left. Under threat of arms, they immobilized the couple and finally managed to seize the safe, which contained several thousand euros, while Vassilis Gurousis tried to put up with the ruthless thieves. The effort was in vain and a few hours after the incident, Teta spoke about the nightmares she had with her husband in a television interview she gave. “We went to the garage to drop off the car and then we met my son who was going to the Epitaph. She said, “Mom, will you come with me?” But I was so tired from work that I decided to stay home with my husband to rest. Well again, my son was not at home! I got out of the shower, heard my dog screaming and thought my husband was hitting him, then I ran and saw three hooded men hitting my husband. One of them grabbed me and put my face on the pillow. He hit me on the head and said “Shut up, honey! Do not speak again! “The second beat constantly without rest. ‘He constantly pointed a gun at me, while the third searched all the drawers,” Teta Kamboureli said, dismayed.
The robbers headed straight for the bedroom as if they knew the location of the house. They found the small safe and with a mallet they lowered it, took it and locked the couple in the room. Gurousis broke down the door and fought with one of the robbers, but another hit him with a metal object on the back of his neck, causing him to lose consciousness. Five years later, the 58-year-old former fanartz and now businessman is accused by the Police of being the man who opened the windows of the famous ladies, removing their valuable content that has not yet been located.
