“This Christmas, science gave us the best gift,” said the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou after her vaccination today against the pandemic at the “Evangelismos” hospital, and highlighted:

Along with the agony, you can nest a smile of optimism. That is why it is very important that we vaccinate as many people as possible, of course within the program that will be implemented and with the instructions of the doctors ”.

As the President pointed out, with the vaccination “we will be able to get out of this adventure, recover our lives, develop our freedom, reciprocate, embrace ours.”

He also stressed that Europe has shown today to be a community of solidarity and warmly thanked the medical and nursing staff and all the hospital staff, highlighting that we will not be able to thank them as much as they should, now they will have to attend the vaccination program, in order to implement it, in the best possible way ”.

The President of the Republic was received at the entrance of the hospital at 2:00 p.m. by the Minister of Health Vassilis Kikilias and the Deputy Minister Vassilis Kontozamanis, then Ms. Sakellaropoulou entered the hospital and was the first politician to be vaccinated.
