The journalist Maria Konstantopoulou passed away yesterday, at the age of 61.

Maria Konstantopoulou was born in Livadia in 1959. After her secondary studies, she studied at the Department of Political Science of the Panteion School, but already in 1980 she started working for the newspaper “AVGI”, as an editor of labor reports. Then, for many years, she worked as a news editor at ERT Radio, always showing responsibility and professional awareness.

At the same time, he wrote for the magazine “ANTI”, collaborated with Swedish Radio, broadcast on the municipal station “Diavlos 10” and contributed decisively to the construction of the Livadia Municipal station.

After ERT closed, Maria retired. But he never stopped being productive, reading and writing constantly to the end.

The ESIEA Board of Directors sadly announces the loss of journalist Maria Konstantopoulou, who died yesterday, at the age of 61.

A spirited, trustworthy and cooperative colleague, she was well liked by her colleagues and always worked consistently, respecting the ethics of the profession.

The ESIEA Board of Directors expressed their condolences to his family and said goodbye to the colleague who “left” early.

Maria Konstantopoulou’s funeral will take place on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Daphne Cemetery.
