Passed away tonight journalist and its historic secretary general ΕΣΗΕΑ Costas Betinakis, since among others the latter Collective bargaining agreements of the journalism industry since 2009 they are his own life work.
the 2002 founded the first electronic magazine in Greece www.styx.gr continuing with the same consistency to fight for information inside and outside the borders with reportage, analysis, interviews, missions without denying the reader’s expectations about the truth but also without their texts being susceptible to denial.
Since 1968 worked in a position of responsibility in the field of international news in the Athenian newspapers ( Acropolis, Today, Eleftherotypia, Meridian, Nation, The NEWS) and was editor of external newsletters, editor-in-chief of radio news in ERT and kept writing to the end.
He was a member of its Board ΠΟΕΣΥ, Vice President of the Educational Institution ΕΣΗΕΑ , member and C. Secretary of the Union of Authors and founding member of the journalism union faction Movement of Professional Journalists.
He was distinguished by his dedication to journalistic ethics even in the most difficult moments of his journalistic career. The dogma that consistently served was that news is a forced affair and people need to know the truth.
