What does the Law provide for pensions
The changes in the payment dates of the EFKA main monthly pensions have been brought about by Law 4611/2019 that was approved in May 2019.
According to the Law, the date of payment of EFKA’s main monthly pensions is defined as:
a) For employees the penultimate business day of the previous month
b) For the self-employed the fourth last working day of the previous month
In exceptional cases, the dates in section 1 may differ after a reasoned decision of the EFKA Board of Directors and approval of the Minister of Labor, Social Security and Social Solidarity.
Holiday changes
However, as has been established in previous years, pensions for January 2021 will be paid earlier, before the holidays.
Specifically, the Minister of Labor, Giannis Vroutsis, approved resolution number 442/40 / 11-26-2020 of the Board of Directors of the National Electronic Social Security Agency (e-EFKA).
The dates of all funds
- the Ika will pay the pensions January 2021:
Tuesday 22 December 2020 (for retirees whose AMKA expires on 1, 3, 5, 7, 9)
Wednesday 23 December 2020 (for retirees whose AMKA expires at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8) - AND Public will pay pensions for January 2021 based on the last digit of the AMKA, to avoid overcrowding:
Tuesday 22 December 2020 (for retirees whose AMKA expires on 1, 3, 5, 7, 9)
Wednesday 23 December 2020 (for retirees whose AMKA expires at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8)
For the remaining Funds, pensions for January 2021 will be paid as follows:
- THE OAEE will pay the pensions in Monday, December 21, 2020
- THE ΟΓΑ will pay the pensions in Monday, December 21, 2020
- the NAT and ΚΕΑΝ will pay the pensions in Monday, December 21, 2020
- THE OPEC will pay the pensions of the elderly without insurance in Monday, December 21, 2020
- the EBRD (no employees) will pay the pensions in Monday, December 21, 2020
- the other EFKA funds (employees) will pay pensions with AMKA as the state
- the temporary pensions of the Armed Forces, Security Forces and Fire Department it will be paid with AMKA as the state
- the ΕΤΑΠ – ΜΜΕ will pay the pensions in Monday, December 21, 2020
- the ΕΤΑΤ will pay the pensions in Monday, December 21, 2020
- Auxiliary pensions ETEAEP
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in cooperation with the e-EFKA Administration decided that the payment of the main and auxiliary pensions would be made on the same date permanently.
Therefore, the supplementary pensions for August 2020 will be paid at the same time as the main pensions.
