Finally, the well-known cover of yesterday’s “Dawn” brought the completely opposite result to what I was looking for. He also faced people who do not belong to the anti-SYRIZA front, which of course feels, once again, justified.
Of course, there were well-known and well-meaning people who were waiting and still waiting for Alexis Tsipras to condemn this cover. They wait in vain.
Meanwhile, no SYRIZA executive has separated from his position. Against those who took a position, they defended it. I mean Pappas, Iliopoulos, G. Tsipras.
Let’s not be surprised anymore. This is SYRIZA. This is your leadership team. But mainly this is Alexis Tsipras.
Divisive, aggressive, muddy.
Every day they show that they will never become a party of Social Democracy, not even with a left orientation. Among other things, they nullify the ambitious efforts of the “bridge builders”, who have their backs to the wall.
SYRIZA’s leading team exposes them, with their behavior, irreparably and on a personal level.
It is obvious that Tsipras and his company took a heavy blow from the historic Left Renewal executive, St. Corto. It hurt because the beatings came from within. He was a minister of the first order of his government and he denounced them, without hesitation, that with legislative intervention they favored the neo-Nazi defendants.
This complaint froze their celebrations for the conviction of Golden Dawn.
So, with whatever mind they have, they made the depressed Sunday cover of “Avgi.” They believed they were going to counterattack. They have only succeeded in further reducing the scope of their party’s political reach.
They even disliked personalities who viewed them with a certain sympathy. They recognized them as many mitigating factors.
As time passes, it becomes clear that the SYRIZA leading team wants to make the party leader. Only then will Tsipras and himself survive.
The ruling party, however, requires a strong and critical leader. A leader who is criticized, who is criticized, cancels his leadership role. It is just a primus inter pares. And Alexis, Janet, George and Betty don’t want that. And with them the assistant presidents. SYRIZA executives and journalists.
SYRIZA is mutating indeed, but not in the direction that the “bridge builders” want and seek. It becomes a party for the Tsipras family. There are no disagreements in this party, which little by little is acquiring all the characteristics of its leader.
Semi-learning, aggression, vulgarity, power mania. They lost power and went crazy. And the more the possibility of returning to it is minimized, the more aggressive, the more divisive they become. And that is why they are isolated from citizens who seek another political reason.
Polakis and Karteros are Tsipras personal choices and, as I wrote a few days ago, the government owes them a lot. But these are the clippers. The hand that moves them is Tsipras’s.
ΥΓ. It goes without saying that those SYRIZA executives – mainly those of the Renewing Left – who do not separate their position from this abyss, also get dirty.
