Another negative record of daily cases was announced today by EODY, confirming the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Specifically, in the last 24 hours, 2,056 new infections, breaking the barrier of 2,000 cases. Compared to the previous record (just 1,690 yesterday), there was an increase in cases by 366 (or 22%).
The new large number of cases arrives on the same day as the prime minister. Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced a mini lockdown in the early hours of Tuesday, with catering and culture paying the price once again. So far, however, the half measures that the government constantly advertises are showing ineffectiveas they cannot stop the momentum of the pandemic, as reflected in the EODY numbers.
At the same time, the Pressure at Healthcare system, since the number of intubated has already reached 135.
Another 6 deaths were also recorded, and the total number of victims increased to 626.

Today we announce 2,056 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 62 are associated with outbreaks and 22 were detected after controls at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 39,251, of which 55.1% are men.
4,112 (10.5%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 13,278 (33.8%) are related to an already known case.
135 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 65. 38 (28.1%) are women and the rest are men. 93.3% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 291 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 6 more deaths registered and 626 deaths in total in the country. 238 (38.0%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 79 years and 96.2% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
