It’s Valia and it’s negative. The story of the nurse who works in the ICU of the “Sotiria” hospital is at the same time incredible, tragic and outrageous.
She may have been risking her life caring for coronavirus patients for months, but Valia has been the victim of social racism from some of our fellow citizens.
She herself, in a shocking post on Facebook, describes what she experienced in something simple and everyday: looking for a home.
He found, as he says, an apartment, closed it, gave an advance, but when the apartment building found out that he worked at the UCI – Covid, then he faced fear and prejudice. The landlord returned the deposit, fearing that the apartment building would hit them.
And Valia wept over the narrow-mindedness and inhumanity of some of our fellow citizens. He got to work with tears in his eyes and pimples and mask marks.
