But fewer patients in intensive care units and at home

There has been an increase in the number of confirmed and dead cases in Italy in the last 24 hours, while the reopening of many stores is being considered next Monday. However, the decision will be made by the Conte government on Friday night.

According to published data, the virus transmission rate in the last twenty-four hours has increased, 992 new cases were registered, 104 more than on Wednesday, while 262 people died, 67 more than yesterday. Furthermore, the number of patients is 755 fewer than yesterday.

It is encouraging that the patients in intensive care units, for forty days, continue to decline. At the same time, by the eighth day, the number of patients on home restriction is limited.

The total number of coronary events in Italy reached 223,096 and the death toll was 31,368, from the start of the pandemic to the present day, while 115,288 people have been cured.

Meanwhile, 855 patients are in intensive care units and a total of 11,453 have been admitted to the hospital. The household restriction was decided by 65,132.

What is particularly worrying for the Italian authorities is that in the last 24 hours alone, there have been 112 deaths and 522 new cases in the Lombardy region alone.

This means that the Conte government and the regional governor, with Milan as its capital, will have to assess the situation very carefully before deciding to open retail stores and fully operate cafes, restaurants, hairdressers and hair salons.
