Impressive images of the Constitution that were dressed in blue and white for tomorrow’s big anniversary 200 years since the Revolution of 1821.
In the square with the greatest symbolism for the city and the country, 5,000 flowers and green form the Greek flag in an area of 144 m2.. The composition was created by the agronomists and technicians of the Municipality of Athens and is surrounded by specially lit platforms with 200 flags, one for each year after the revolution.
In addition to the Constitution, the main streets of the city are decorated with 800 flags and 400 coats of arms, wearing blue and white throughout. In addition, in the seven Municipal Communities, squares, flower beds and parks, they acquire more color than flowers and plants.
Tonight and tomorrow, the city’s fountains that were recently rebuilt or renovated will be illuminated in the colors of the Greek flag. The largest fountain in Athens, in the new Omonia Square, is expected to “steal” the prints.
The historic building of the City Hall of Athens will be “wrapped” by the Greek flag through three-dimensional effects.
