Ilia: A heartbreaking farewell to the cop who died in his sleep

A living man, torrential, with humor, with a sense of justice, mute, social, especially dear to Ilia, willing to act where necessary. It is still amazing that he “passed away” from life.

According to ilialive.gr, his family broke out, he bowed. His wife, also a policeman, and his two daughters, his mother and sister, could not bear the painful farewell. All his colleagues were there to say goodbye to him… In whatever service they served, they had collaborated with Dimitris Kitsos who was where they needed him.

Dimitris Kitsos who joined the Hellenic Liberation Army. In 1985 and served in the Attica and Ilia combat services, he had completed 35 years in the Corps, but remained active – being young at 54 – true to duty.

But in his youth, Dimitris Kitsos also served as a referee in the Ilia Soccer Referees Association, where he led local and national championship matches.

He was buried in the Krestena cemetery, near his beloved father.
