Even the word “unthinkable” cannot describe the incident that occurred in Ukraine, with a 57-year-old woman waking up in her own grave, digging with her own hands the way out to her salvation!
But how did it get there? Two brothers, 27 and 30 years old, who were her neighbors, broke into Nina Rudchenko’s house, hitting her with such fury that she passed out.
The brothers, who were intoxicated after two hours of horrible torture, where they even beat her with a baseball bat, decided to bury her in the village cemetery, Maryanske, believing that she had died.
However, the 57-year-old woman was also reunited and her torturers forced her to dig her own grave.
After carrying her once more, they knocked her unconscious and buried her. But Nina was not dead!
They started throwing dirt at him and after a while they covered it. But Nina, who had gathered, was determined.
“They put me in the grave and began to bury me. I heard them laugh and say that they would kill my family. When they finished, they were discussing whether I was dead,” said the woman.
Nina started digging and managed to get out. He ran home and passed out there. Her sister found her the next morning and called an ambulance. The doctors discovered that his jaw and nose were broken, while he revealed to the police what had happened, that in shock they could not believe what he was saying.
The two brothers have been arrested and are expected to spend several years in prison.
