In the coming days, the Government will officially announce the start of the presentation of applications.
The anguish of thousands of taxpayers is ending as the AADE electronic platform for the heating subsidy is expected to open no later than next Wednesday (12/23), so that beneficiaries can make their applications.
The allocation of heating will range between 80 and 650 euros, with the first payment being made in January, for those who have submitted all the bills.
There will be a second phase of heating subsidy payments in March for those who submit bills later, and there may be a Tuesday for those using natural gas.
The bonus to which you are entitled will come after the calculation performed on the platform based on the invoices you have submitted and the qualification days to which you are entitled under the new calculation system.
Apart from the beneficiaries who use diesel for heating, this year’s heating subsidy will also be received by those who consume natural gas, LPG, but also households in mountainous areas that use firewood or pellets.
It should be noted that this year LPG, the well-known “bottle” used by various stoves, will be subsidized, while the money paid will start from 64 euros and go up to 650 euros.
Unlike what happened before, where the country was divided into four zones with rates for the heating subsidy, now it will be paid by region. Thus, now there will be 13,549 areas with different amounts. It goes without saying that areas like Florina, Kozani, Grevena, etc. it will have the highest rate, since the lowest temperatures are recorded there.
The beneficiaries
With the relevant decision, on the list of beneficiaries for heating benefit – except for beneficiaries who use heating oil will add the ones that use:
- natural gas
- LPG
- firewood or pellets (for mountainous areas, population limit 2,500)
The bonus starts from 80 euros and can reach the 600-700 euros and will be paid to beneficiaries by the end of the year.
Make the payment of the heating subsidy to the Ministry of Finance fairer divided the regions of the country according to climatic conditions, prevailing in them (in 200,000 square 750×750 meters). The logic is that the amount of the allowance will be calculated based on how many days per year the temperature of an area falls below 15.5 degrees Celsius.

Beneficiaries of heating allowance is individuals for properties that they use as their main residence at the time of filing the application, whether they are rented or transferred for free or are privately owned.
To get someone the heating allowance must be double the amount you will receive. Also the money you will have to spend them, otherwise you will return them.
Income criteria
- Single taxpayers who in the previous year had a total annual income of up to 12,000 euros and own urban real estate of total fair value up to 100,000 euros.
- Married taxpayers, as well as taxpayers who are part of cohabitation agreements that have a total annual family income of up to 20,000 euros and urban real estate property of fair value up to 200,000 euros. The income limit of 20,000 euros will increase by 2,000 euros for each dependent child.
- Single-parent families with a total annual income of up to 22,000 euros who owned urban real estate of fair value up to 200,000 euros. The income limit of 22,000 euros will increase by 2,000 euros for each dependent child after the first.
