The Celtics were superior for most of the game. They took the lead early on, escaped by a double-digit margin from the second period onwards, and seemed headed for a comfortable victory. Once again, however, Miami would show its fighting nature before losing.
With the Celtics escaping 80-100 with 7 minutes to go and looking ready to celebrate the victory, the Heat fought back and with Duncan Robinson scoring very well, they cut you to 104-109 with 55 seconds to go. Stay for the end! In the end, however, they couldn’t bear it, with Boston clinching victory.
Jalen Brown with 26 points was the top scorer of the winners, with Jason Tatum adding 25 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists and Keba Walker 21 points, while Gordon Hayward (on his return from action after a month of absence) had 6 points with 2/7 shots (1/3 three points), 1/2 shots, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 1 interception and 1 foul in 31 minutes of participation.
For the Heat, Bam Adebayo had 27 points and 16 rebounds, Tyler Hiro had 22 points and Jimmy Butler had 17 points.
