There are only a few hours left for the announcement of the new measures that will be taken in order to “stop” the great spread of the coronavirus in Attica.
The problem with the increase in coronavirus cases in Attica, according to information transmitted by ERT, is located mainly in three municipalities. These are the municipalities of Athens, Piraeus and Kifissia.
This is the reason why, after a series of suggestions from scientists, strict and horizontal measures will be taken, which will last for at least two weeks.
At noon on Tuesday, the Ministry of Health announced that the measures will be presented during the briefing that will take place at the ministry, today at 6:00 p.m. The briefing will be conducted by the Vice Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management Nikos Hardalia Ms Assistant Professor of the EKPA Faculty of Medicine and member of the Expert Committee of the Ministry of Health, Gika Majorkini.
The Vice Minister of Health will also participate in the briefing Vassilis Kontozamanis, to answer questions related to the health system.

According to information from iefimerida.gr, the measures for the coronavirus that are proposed include the suspension of all cultural events and the closure of theaters and cinemas, except for those in summer. Steps are also being taken to limit collusion in public markets and open meetings, where the strict recommendation for wearing a mask and lowering the permissible limit of individuals is preferred. The possibility of reducing the number of people per table in restaurants is open, while it is not excluded that there may be a further reduction in the number of guests to social events, which to date is 50.
Scientists are also concerned about the images of congestion in the means of transport and for this reason they recommend decongestion measures both in waiting areas and inside buses and Metro and electric trains. In this direction, a proposal has been presented to expand the teleworking system in the public and private sectors.
