The Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, called on everyone to comply with the measures, during the information session on the coronavirus.
Referring to the issue of lifting the lockdown, without giving a clear answer on whether the quarantine will be extended, Hardalias emphasized that “the government’s decision will be based on the suggestions of the experts and the epidemiological picture.”
“We understand the expectation of the citizens for the next holidays but also the anxiety of the market people. “For the government, the only priority is human life,” he added.
“We must not forget that the preservation of life and health is at stake. This insidious threat does not separate ages. The implementation of the measures is the absolute daily bet of life,” he explained.
“In northern Greece we don’t have the results we want”
“The outlook is relatively stable,” he said. Some areas may show signs of improvement. In northern Greece, however, we do not have the results we want. The faithful implementation of the measures affects the operation of the system and the effectiveness of the measures, “he added.
“This is not the time for reimbursements. We must strictly comply with the measures. We must thank the citizens who observe the measures, stay home and go out only for the necessary things,” he stressed.
