Members of an NGO in the Netherlands reportedly chartered a plane from the Netherlands to Lesbos.

The purpose of the trip was, according to iefimerida, to bring back to their land refugees and immigrants who wanted to follow them.

However, according to the same information, the flight did not have the required special permit and when the Greek authorities were informed, it emerged that it was actually a private initiative of the NGO members.

The Greek authorities “blocked” the flight after a while and the aircraft proceeded to a forced landing at “El. Venizelos”.

The Minister of Immigration and Asylum even stated: “The relocation of recognized asylum seekers and refugees is subject to the rules of formal transnational agreements. When they are not followed, they cannot be carried out.” Public safety is an absolute priority. “
