The discovery was made in April 2019, but today a real treasure came to light for the first time.

The counter of a fast food restaurant called the heat shop reveals that junk food was very much a part of the daily lives of city residents who were buried in the ashes in 79 AD

The front of the greenhouse is decorated with murals in bright colors representing animals, part of the ingredients that the food had.

Chicken and two ducks hanging upside down stand out in the paintings, while remains of materials used in meals were found in the area.

Duck, pork, goat, fish and snail bones testify to the great variety of animal products that were necessary for the preparation of the dishes.

“It just came to our attention then.” This is the first time we have found a complete greenhouse, “said Massimo Ossana, director of the Pompeii Archaeological Park.

“Our preliminary analysis shows that the figures drawn on the front of the counter represent, at least in part, the food and beverages sold there,” said anthropologist Valeria Amoretti.

Archaeologists have also found a decorated copper bowl known as the father, ceramic vases used for cooking soups and stews, wine bottles, and amphorae.
