In his book, “The Sisters of the Nazareth Monastery: A Roman, Byzantine, and Crusade Period in Central Nazareth”, Professor Dark explored the possibility of transmitting the memory of a building’s history from the 1st century to the 4th century, when the first church was built on the site.
“My conclusion is that, based on anthropological data and studies of oral tradition, there’s absolutely no reason why they can’t know“, he said.
