Golden Dawn: The arrests of the condemned are approaching – Extraordinary plan of ELAS

[ad_1]

The historic decision to convict Golden Dawn may have eased the pain for the Fyssa family and sent a strong message against fascism, but a new cycle is opening.

And it is the cycle of arrests of Nikos Michaloliakos and the former deputies and executives of Chrysi Avgi, when their sentences are announced and they are not suspensive.

The next few days will be particularly critical to see who will be handcuffed again and taken to prison, probably in Korydallos.

The Greek police have already prepared a special plan for the arrest of members of the criminal organization who should be taken to prison.

It is a fact that some will be counted extenuating, others will request the suspension of the sentence and others will present an appeal and until the next court they will request to be released.

Some, however, may be taken to jail next week and the police will be called in to execute their arrest warrants.

After meeting them earlier, the Chrysaugites don’t appear very often, except for Ilias Kasidiaris, who is the leader of the “Greek” party.

They also did not appear in court and should be searched in the next few days.

The only one who is sure to go to prison at this point is Giorgos Roupakias who will probably try to break his life sentence, but that does not mean that he will not spend many years behind bars.

Law enforcement authorities generally know where the culprits are and will mobilize as soon as the trial is over.

A big question mark is the case of Lagos, the Golden Dawn MEP who is probably in Brussels and has immunity.

Therefore, the European Parliament should request the waiver of his immunity and his extradition to Greece, provided that his sentence is immediately enforceable and he is sent to prison.

It is recalled that the penalty for joining a criminal organization is 5 to 15 years, with a mitigation of 1 to 5 years. The penalty for running a criminal organization is 5 to 15 years in prison with a mitigation of 2 to 8.

In addition, seven former ATHEX deputies were found guilty of running a criminal organization.

Specifically, they are N. Michaloliakos, Ilias Kasidiaris, Christos Pappas, Ioannis Lagos, George Germeni, Elias Panagiotaros, Artemis Mattheopoulos.

The court with the same decision found former deputies Pan guilty of joining and participating in the criminal organization ATHEX. Iliopoulos, Polyvio Zisimopoulos, Antonios Grego, Nikolaos Michos, Nikolaos Kouzilos, Kon. Barbarousi, Efs. Boukoura, Chrysovalanti Alexopoulos, Michalis Arvanitis, Eleni Zaroulia and Dimitrios Koukoutsis. Both members of the same criminal organization, George Patelis and Anastasios Pantazis, were found guilty as members of the same criminal organization.

What the judges said

Previously, the announcement by the Association of Judges and Prosecutors said:

“One of the most iconic trials in modern Greece was completed today with the issuance of the decision of the Athens Criminal Court of Appeal of three members. The Union, represented by its President in the announcement of the decision, congratulates the Judges who carried out the difficult task they assumed: Thorough examination of the facts of the case with impartiality, objectivity and fairness They completed a multi-year process with the presence of dozens of defendants, the questioning of hundreds of witnesses and the reading of thousands of documents , despite the inadequate conditions and the lack of necessary infrastructure.

History will seriously evaluate the value and importance of the decision. After all, at other critical moments in history associated with highly symbolic trials (the case of Gr. Lambraki, the trial of the board leaders), the Greek Justice kept the rudder stable and highlighted the social importance of the crisis of criminal justice. “Independent Justice has been and continues to be a pillar of democracy.”
