The Greek police have been on high alert for the detention of the convicted Chrysaugites for ten days. Twenty-five arrest squads, involving some 80 police officers, have been formed in order to detain convicts who did not surrender alone or in court after reading the court’s decision.
The detainees will be transferred to the specially designed area on the seventh floor of the General Directorate of Police of Attica. Next, the procedure foresees their transfer to the Directorate of Criminological Investigations for marking, to the Prosecutor’s Office for the Execution of Penalties, to the Transfer and finally to the penitentiary centers that have been designated.
According to the information, the suggestions call for the complete exclusion of the Golden Dawn convicts in Korydallos Prison. There are at least 7 type B internal prisons that can be transferred, including those in Domokos, Malandrinos, Grevena, Corfu and Agios Stefanos.
According to the information, those who will be transferred to the same prisons will be held in different wards. The security measures will be very strict, their cells will be searched at least twice a day, their communications will be controlled discreetly, while their patio will be private and they will be exercised at different times by the other detainees.
