Gogos at SKAI: Primary, secondary, lyceums can open after the holidays

The opening of schools, including primary schools after the holidays is “seen” by the professor of pathology and member of the expert committee of the Ministry of Health, Charalambos Gogos.

As he emphasized speaking on SKAI TV, the committee has yet to make its decisions, but with the data so far, gyms and high schools will likely open after the holidays, while something like that can happen with elementary schools as well.

“What ‘plays’ is whether they will start at 14. If primary school does not start at 14, there is no point in discussing it. Therefore, there is a possibility that they will also go after the holidays,” noted Mr. Gogos .

The professor said that there are both negative and positive opinions on this issue and that what worries is the mobility around the opening of schools that will be weighed down by the system.

He mentioned retail trade in sectors that can be opened with great care and with continuous restrictive measures, while he did not rule out the possibility that shopping centers operate on similar terms.

In terms of focus, he said it is probably the last industry to be discussed and it appears that its opening is going backwards.

“We are all skeptical because there is still a burden on the health system that has plagued us and I have seen many surprises with this particular virus,” “calculations often fail,” warned Gogos.
