The Giannitsa canning company suspends its operation, after the cases of coronavirus in its staff.
In particular, due to a high confirmed epidemiological burden (114 cases) in a canning company in NO. Γιαννιτσών, after the corresponding inspections, by order of the Vice Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalia, decision of the Secretary General of Civil Protection, Vassilios Papageorgiou, as well as in consultation with its executives ΕΟΔΥ By conducting on-site inspections, the operation of the company as a whole, including all its infrastructure and facilities, is suspended for urgent reasons of serious risk to public health and in particular to limit the spread and effects of the COVID-19 disease.
The above suspension is valid for 7 days from 09-11-2020 and hours 06.00 to 09-18-2020 and hours 06.00.
Breaked all records: 372 new cases
Greece posted a negative record in daily coronavirus cases today (10/09/2020) as EODY announced 372, of which 164 are known outbreaks and 114 are connected to the food processing plant in Pella.
Twenty-nine are connected to a known confluence in a recycling industry in Attica and 21 come from several known confluences from earlier days.
Of the 372 new cases, 164 are associated with known outbreaks and 21 were detected after checks at the country’s gateways.
The total number of cases is 12,452, of which 55.5% are men.
2324 (18.7%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 5511 (44.3%) are related to an already known case.
49 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 70 years. 12 (24.5%) are women and the rest are men. 87.8% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 167 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 4 more deaths registered and 297 deaths in total in the country. 110 (37.0%) women and the rest men.
The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.3% had some underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
