Development and Investment Minister Adonis Georgiadis spoke about the click, measures and thoughts on when retail will open on the ANT1 TV show today.

As Mr. Georgiadis said, the possibility of telephone orders was given, in addition to electronic ones, “to help smaller and neighborhood stores, since stores are closed due to the coronavirus.”

He stressed that electronic commerce will continue to be with us in the future, since, as he said, it is something positive and in answering a relevant question, he stated that “the fear of losing jobs with technology existed at all times but never confirmed “.

Regarding vaccines, he said that it would be a “tragic mistake” by the European Commission for countries not to receive the vaccines they should and stressed “I hope that the European Commission finds a solution.” At the same time, responding to a question on whether Greece could order vaccines on its own, like Germany, he replied that “this is not easy to do.”

Regarding cases where merchants refuse to make exchanges or refunds if someone has bought using the click method, he called consumers to file a complaint in 1520 and emphasized that if a store is found to be refusing to return within 14 days, a fine will be imposed.

Speaking about opening up retail, Mr. Georgiadis said “if we continue to do well, where infectious disease specialists tell us these areas are virus free, we will open.” “In the first week of the new year we will measure the data for the opening of the retail trade”, stressed the Minister of Public Works and stated that “we have not talked about the approach at all because there is a” brake “from specialists in infectious diseases”.

He revealed that today a teleconference will be held on the ski resorts, which, he said, “have suffered a lot of damage.”

He stressed that there is no decision to extend the confinement at the moment and pointed out in response to a relevant question that “the debts are suspended. “When the pandemic is over, we will see the bill and then the discussion on the measures will begin.”
