The president of the Hellenic Society of Infections, Panagiotis Gargalianos, referred to the gradual lifting of the confinement, the date of which is still unknown.
Mr. Gargalianos was optimistic about the possibility of limiting the spread of the deadly virus in our country until Christmas.
In particular, he highlighted that there is a relative improvement, however the health system remains under pressure. “We still cannot have an optimistic note until we see the health system decompress. Until Friday we can know how positivity cases and incidents are moving. Downloading the system may take another ten days, maybe more. Removing the block is not a general rule. “We are talking about lifting with strict restrictions,” he characteristically said, speaking to SKAI.
When will the opening of schools be judged?
Asked about the opening of schools and specifically of elementary schools, before the holidays, even on December 7, Mr. Gargalianos explained that everything will be clarified at the end of the week.
“We are still waiting for some data on school mobility. 700,000 children transfer to primary schools. If it is counted in two (ss go come) it is 1,400,000 movements. If the data shows that the data we have for children is satisfactory, we will open schools. “I don’t know if we will catch up next Monday, but soon,” he explained.
Approach by appointment
Finally, Mr. Gargalianos referred to the great concern of the experts for the immediate opening of the restaurant.
As he stressed, if the restaurant opens, it will be with strict rules.
“What we said was to have a limit of 4 or 6 people at each table and there were 15 … it will cost! It is a resource, a request for compliance with the measures. As in other countries, there could be a limit to stay in restaurants. “That someone go by appointment and have a specific schedule for each client,” he concluded.
