Former French President Valerie Giscard d’Estaing has passed away.
According to Europe 1, Giscard d’Estaing was admitted to the cardiology department of the Tours hospital on November 17, and in September he was admitted to a Paris hospital with a respiratory infection.
Giscard d’Estaing made one of his last public appearances on September 30, 2019, during Jacques Chirac’s funeral, according to a post by “Le Figaro.”
According to the French News Agency, D’Esten died with “his family by his side”, at his home.
