First bell, while thousands of stores are rolling

[ad_1]

Our country is taking the second step towards everyday pre-colonial life today, like many others in Europe that are gradually declining.

Today, the students of the 3rd Lyceum return to their desks despite the reservations and fears of many parents and teachers about unnecessary risk, but also the serious reactions for the “Big Brother” in schools with the live broadcast of the lessons.

Thousands of retail stores are also opening today, after almost two months.

At the same time, starting today, relocation to the islands is permitted for business owners and employees who can reopen from today.

Of course, this all starts with new strict rules, masks and antiseptics for employees and customers.

What stores are reopening?

  • audio and video equipment
  • textiles
  • iron, paints and glass
  • carpets, rugs and floor and wall coverings
  • home appliances
  • furniture, lighting and other household items.
  • music and image recordings
  • toys of all kinds of clothes
  • footwear and leather goods
  • cosmetics and cosmetics
  • watches and jewelry
  • new and used items

In addition, the following companies are restarting their physical stores:

  • Rent and lease of sports and leisure articles.
  • videocassette and disc rental
  • renting and renting other types of personal or domestic use, and
  • as well as stores that operate with “buy in a store” cooperation agreements.
  • On the same date, the companies will reopen the issue of retail at outdoor stalls and purchases of textiles, clothing and footwear, as well as other items.

They also work again:

  • amateur driving schools
  • companies engaged in gambling and betting in a physical store,
  • as well as diet services.

According to the Vice Minister of Development and Investment, Nikos Papathanasis, in this second stage of restarting the economy, 155,962 employees return to work, that is, 22.5% of the employees who were suspended due to the lack of operation of their businesses and 66,010 companies reopened, that is, 25% of the companies whose operations have been suspended.

Why rules?

All economic operators reopen with specific operating rules. That’s:

For retail companies, the maximum number of people allowed (employees and customers) within the main area is calculated as follows:

For stores mainly on the surface

  • Up to 20 m2: 4 people.
  • From 20 to 100 m2: 4 people + 1 person for every 10 m2.
  • More than 100 m2: 12 people + 1 person for 15 m2.

Also, in case the store area exceeds 300 square meters. and it is developed on more than one level, the level criterion also applies, that is, up to 1 person for every 10 square meters. per floor.

Store opening hours are set at 10 a.m., with the exception of paint shops and other industrial items, which can operate from 7 a.m.

The mandatory distance of 1.5 meters between individuals applies.

There is a strong recommendation for the use of a protective mask by staff and clients.

And it is recommended not to use elevators. In case of need for use, the occupancy limit allowed is 40%. If there are escalators, the elevator can only be used by people with disabilities, the elderly and to feed the store.

For betting and betting shops.

As for the rule of people allowed within the main area of stores, the same terms apply to retail.

They are only allowed to operate without seated clients.

And there is a strong recommendation for the use of a protective mask by staff and customers.

For driving schools

The presence of clients is allowed only by appointment, with the obligation to maintain a list of clients that will be shown in the control agencies and it is mandatory to wear the protective mask for both the trainer and the trainee.

For industrial companies in outdoor stalls and markets:

  • Minimum distance of 5 meters between vendors’ stalls.
  • Maximum participation rate in public markets up to 50% of the original participants.
  • Opportunity to participate with the same percentage of 50% in parallel popular markets created to avoid overcrowding.
  • And a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between people.
  • In any case, the special importance of hand hygiene is evident.

What about schools?

High school students are doing “footwork” in schools today. Next week, Monday, May 18, students from middle schools A and B will follow.

Elementary and secondary school students have not yet decided what will happen, and the Ministry of Education says they will reopen “only if there is certainty that the course of the epidemic is going downhill.”

The rules

The return of the members of the school community to the schools is carried out with the necessary protection measures, which have been provided by EODY and the Ministry of Education, the observation of the distance of 1.5 meters being the most basic.

– Entering and leaving the school grounds.

To reduce congestion during the arrival and departure of students to school, the regular meeting in the courtyard will not take place before the start of the program. Students will go directly to their classroom.

– Fifteen students per room, with open windows.

Now, by the end of the current school year, the maximum number of students allowed per class is fifteen (15) and the distance between students sitting at desks must be 1.5 meters. Classrooms are divided into two and students will go to school in rotation. Monday – Wednesday – Friday will be half way and Tuesday – Thursday the other half, while next week it will be the other way around. Small sections (up to 15 people) will be able to operate daily.

According to the Minister of Education, Niki Kerameos, 66% of the departments of the third GEL secondary school will teach daily and not in rotation, because these departments have less than 15 students and there is no need to divide the departments. The corresponding percentage of the departments of the 3rd EPAL high school is 74%.

Regarding the arrangement of the corridors, the relevant circular stipulates that the desks will have a common orientation, in order to minimize the exposure of students to droplets from coughing or sneezing, especially in rooms with limited space.

Students will sit one by one at the desk and alternately on the left and right sides of the desk, not one behind the other.

Of course, the ventilation of the classrooms will be carried out and it is planned to clean them twice a day.

– Separate on breaks

From today until the end of the school year, the school break will be different. Students will not take a single break to reduce interaction between sections / subtypes. The image of the students who enter the patio is a thing of the past, since there is a gradual exit and, in turn, each class will have a different space in the patio.

Ball games (for example, volleyball, basketball, soccer) are prohibited and dining rooms will be closed.

– Antiseptics, the use of a mask is optional.

School cleaning will be meticulous starting today, while schools have been “equipped” with antiseptics.

As for the use of a mask by the students, this is optional in the classrooms and on the students’ means of transportation.

EODY protocol for cases

To manage any symptoms that occur in a member of the school community, the relevant EODY protocol will be activated, based on the monitoring process and with qualifications depending on each case. It is not planned to close the school in case of an accident.

Absences of students and teachers.

As already announced by the Minister of Education, there is a provision of leave for teachers who fall into the category of special leave, while special leave will continue in both the public and private sectors for parents with children in educational structures that remain suspended.

There is also the possibility of countless absences for students who have a special reason (based on a parent / guardian statement about the existence of a vulnerable group in the home as defined by the Commission, or in the case of a person sick).

For those students who have a special reason to be absent from school, there is a live stream of the lesson via e-learning, something that educational federations, opposition and citizens have voiced their opposition to when “Big Brother “enters schools.

For days when students are not in school, there is a plan to study at home.

End of course on June 12, 2020

It is also recalled that secondary schools and lyceums will teach until June 12, there will be no promotion and graduation exams (the evaluation of the students will be based on the grades of the four months) and on June 15 and 16 Panhellenic exams will be held for general lyceums and vocational secondary schools, respectively. For Special Schools, the suspension of the operation has been extended.

Tuition centers are also opening

With regard to the operation of educational centers, the gradual reopening of pre-school levels will continue, as is the case in schools, necessarily observing preventive measures (distance of 1.5 meters between students and 15 students per department).

Classes at the 3rd Lyceum begin today, Monday, May 11, while classes at the Lyceum and Gymnasium A ‘, B’ and the foreign language courses begin again on May 18. However, the ministry recommends continuing the courses through distance learning.
