The situation with the fire that broke out in the municipality of Saronikos, Attica, remains dramatic.
Unfortunately, the fire has spread at lightning speed due to the stormy winds that blow in the area, but also due to dirty plots, according to the Fire Department. It passed through the Feriza settlement, causing damage to homes and has now reached the outskirts of Anavyssos, where the area is being evacuated as a precaution by its inhabitants. In fact, Security has already released 75 citizens and another 26 OPKE.
The evacuation order was given early by the Feriza Fire Department and a boarding school, the settlement of Agrotiki Bank, Olympus, Agiosmouthi, Agios Panteleimon and Aris Saronidas. The City Council has sent buses for preventive evacuation, beyond Anavyssos, if necessary, to Mokriza, Drosia and Palea Fokea, since the route of the fire front is possibly to Palea Fokea.

Furthermore, in Messinia, the fire that broke out in an agroforestry area in the Poulitsi area is breaking out, without immediately endangering a residential area. 47 firefighters operate on site with 2 groups of pedestrians, 15 vehicles, 2 planes and a helicopter. At the same time, this time a new fire broke out in a grassy area in Zaganiaris, Andros. Very strong winds are also blowing in the area, but at the moment the settlements are not in danger. 17 firefighters with 6 vehicles and a helicopter were immediately mobilized. Volunteer firefighters and water authorities are helping.
