The fire is in full swing in the Kalivia and Nea Makr areas

Nea makri
As for the fire in Nea Makri, the outlook has improved in recent hours.
According to the mayor, the fire is in remission with only small outbreaks, however, firefighting forces remain in the area, due to re-ignitions.
There have been no reports of damage to homes, while the version that wants the fire to start from a vehicle that was engulfed in flames in motion is confirmed.
For precautionary reasons, six people were previously evacuated from NTUA facilities in the area.
It is noted that due to the strong winds that are expected for tomorrow, a vigil was ordered for the entire Fire Department throughout the country.
