But before we get to this point, let’s take the opportunity to mention some important DIFFERENCES, which we have been talking about for years but very often we do not understand.
This decision is purely administrative and the administration itself is the one that will lift its weight. As a link we had no information and to tell the truth we did not expect it, after what was said and what they had guaranteed us after their departure.
But for those who know about basketball or move in basketball circles and for those who can remove the “feeling” (be it positive or negative) from within, they will realize that this movement, at this moment, is the best solution. possible for GSPERISTERIOU racing only !!
We do not mention this as a mitigating factor for those who want to “judge” the current administration. Rather, we want to emphasize only reality.
THIS IS THE FIRST DIFFERENCE
Another fan / fan / supporter, etc. and other administration. Management is the management of a limited company and its sole objective is, on the one hand, to achieve as much as possible in the competition but, on the other hand, not to collapse financially. These administrations do not function emotionally, they have no trace of romance because in practice they do not go together. The financial part is what swallows it all in the end. Of course, someone will say that they must be selfish and that the departure of Pedoulakis and especially in this way, generated a great problem, possibly financial, based on the plan they had drawn up together. But this is your problem and we shouldn’t be concerned.
However, we are concerned about the culture that our club brings to the fore. From the fan who is the heart of the club to the anonymity of society.
Decisions like yesterday’s show, unfortunately, that the history of the club, the values it defends and the philosophy that should govern it take a back seat, the people being above these important principles. Decisions like yesterday generate division in public opinion. Decisions like yesterday empty the stadiums. Decisions like yesterday annihilate your existence within your own city. Decisions like yesterday’s raise reasonable questions at the same time about how the hobbyist can convey the genuine idea of GS PERISTERIOU when it is managed at the same time – in our wrong judgment – by the management of a limited company. Decisions like yesterday’s put us as a blackmailing club in the role of “firefighter”. On the one hand because we alienate ourselves together with the whole world and on the other because we love the club a lot and we know that we have to maintain balance.
Since last night dozens of messages have been sent to the link page, hundreds of comments have been written on the internet, countless hours of phone calls and of course all of the above with a very intense style. EVERYONE (including the administration) is waiting for the placement of a link, a fact that gives us prestige and concerns at the same time. How on the one hand our speech is considered so important and that on the other hand it almost never happens, not even as well-intentioned advice. How, on the one hand, does everyone ask us when such situations are created, when “the ball burns” and when the Club asks (theoretically, practically, socially, etc.) about other questions, the fans are left alone …? ?
THIS IS THE SECOND BIG DIFFERENCE that everyone must recognize and admit. Another FAN and another fan. Let’s refer in general terms. The fan is always, everywhere and at any price. The fan, on the other hand, is selective. The fanatic judges everyone and everything easily, but is never judged. The fan in Greece is not judged, but criticized. The fan acts while the fan waits for others or asks and demands. The fan does not forget and must not forget. The fan in the first successes will forget, but in the first failures he will remember to cry and not support.
Unfortunately, it turned out that the association should initially focus on the good of the team, but always in the light of the fans. At this stage, no matter how much some people ask for it, you cannot put “lines” in general, except for your members but also for those who believe with your eyes closed on it.
We will speak in counsel and with words of the soul. Whoever understands them or feels them better will support them “blindly”.
Upon learning of Pedoulakis’s return a few months ago, we felt negative and outraged. Not only us but also the simplest fan, because he felt betrayed. And, of course, he was not wrong.
Pedoulakis is no longer Argyris, he is no longer one of us, we do not even feel like a DOVE. He is just one more professional who came to do his job and get his money back. He is one more who came and will go, so he will be judged coldly, since he himself chose the path of the pocket and not that of the heart. Since he did not agree to say a single apology to ALL those who 2 years ago believed more in his name than in the club itself. Unfortunately, that’s the way professional sport is now.
When the group was on the brink of disbanding, only these crazy fans and a handful of romantic friends from the club took their souls to the woodwork. Not only to find a solution to a financial problem, but to find the ways of the EXISTENCE of GS PERISTERIOU. All the GS Peers, all the politicians and all the alleged agents disappeared.
The same and then. ONLY WE were there again, when the team was rejoicing in the small categories and the field was empty. We did countless kilometers in each town, either on weekends or every day, because NUESTRA PALOMA played because we only had to carry it on our back and it was born again. To get where it belongs. Where many wanted BUT few BELIEVED and DARE.
We were there σταν we were EVERYWHERE… From the neighborhoods of Athens and the towns of Greece to Prague and Germany… and we will be wherever necessary, in whatever category our DOVE competes in !!!
Because we don’t care about names that come and go. We are there for the shirt and the shield, for the history of the club, for the history of the city … BECAUSE THE DOVE IS OUR LIFE !!!
Pedoulaki in 2018, we “made” your ground and “turned our backs” to come back. We reward you on the inside, when GS PERISTERIOU played in categories that don’t even allow you to go outside. We were close to you to tell you what “spoiled” you and you did not return to your “favorite” club and its fans, which had your name perhaps more than any other name that passed through the team. At least always remember that ALL of these, you took down yourself.
We will not applaud you, nor will we congratulate you, you have chosen your side. But don’t forget that you once again took over the LARGEST CLUB in the country. Do what you have to do to understand it better. Appreciate the money you will get. This time completely!
