After laboratory examination of the sample by the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, it was found that the “KURKOUMAS” sample appears to be adulterated and contains in high concentrations the heavy metals Lead, Chromium and Mercury. Also, a few days ago, soutzoukaki with salmonella were recalled.

After a relevant inspection in the aforementioned company, it turned out that in addition to the verified 50-gram package, from the initial quantity of raw material imported by the company, packages of 50, 500 and 5000 grams were packed with L 1902 elements and placed available for consumption (50 g), L 010919 and L 021019 (500 g) and L 010819 (5,000 g).
The company has already started to withdraw the mentioned products from the market. EFET checks are in progress.
Based on the precautionary principle, consumers who have purchased the above products, the photos of which are listed below, are advised not to consume them.
