Europe is on high alert for the second wave of the coronavirus. European Council President Charles Michel will convene an emergency coronation summit next week, according to initial reports on October 29, according to EU sources.
Charles Michel and the leaders of the 27 Member States will discuss how to proceed as the situation with COVID worsens, rather than improves.
Speaking in front of the European Parliament on Wednesday, the President of the European Council warned, among other things, that “we are all in the same boat with regard to COVID19.
“We need to intensify our strong cooperation in surveillance and monitoring and vaccines,” he said. “Follow-up and follow-up is key while we wait for a vaccine,” added Charles Michel.
European sources have reported that the last three months have been steadily deteriorating.
