Euroleague qualification: “Train” Olympiakos

With an incredible triple by Aaron Harrison, Olympiakos made it 2/2 in the devil’s first week of the Euroleague this year, beating Maccabi Tel Aviv 85-82 in the fourth game.

The rojiblancos, after their victory against Panathinaikos, left by train, with 3 consecutive victories. First Panathinaikos at OAKA (71-78), then Armani Milano at SEF (86-75) and now the team of Giannis Sfeiropoulos. All three teams were “victims” of this year’s impressive Olympiakos, whose game by game raises the expectations of its fans.

The “rojiblancos” now have 3 wins and 1 loss, Zalgiris being the only team that is above them. Olympiacos next game is Bayern in Munich next Friday (10/23, 9:30 PM).

As for Panathinaikos, the “greens” have a 1-2 record, as they lost Thursday night (10/15) by 97-89 in extra time from Barcelona to Barcelona. Giorgos Vovoras’s team has one game less due to the postponement of the match with Villeurbanne, while the next team that Panathinaikos will face is Fenerbahce at OAKA on Thursday (10/22, 9:00 PM).
