Estonian Education Minister Miley Reps resigned following reports that she used a state car and a ministry driver to transport her children to school.
According to scandalous newspaper Ohtuleht, a ministry driver had repeatedly used a government vehicle to drop off and pick up the Reps children from school.
“I have been under a lot of pressure to reconcile the role of minister and mother. I admit that I made mistakes and I apologize for them.”the 45-year-old resigned education minister wrote in a Facebook post.
Following the report, the representatives admitted that he had used the government car several times recently for private purposes.
Despite the revelations and the consequent pressure, the Minister and mother of six children initially wanted to remain in her post.
Prime Minister Yuri Ratas, who defended the representatives, said he regretted accepting their resignation.
He is the third member of the government to resign this month.
