Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that the quarantine would begin on Saturday and end on Tuesday, May 19, a national holiday.
Ankara has imposed quarantine in major cities for the past four weekends, as well as on national holidays, to curb the spread of the new crown.
Speaking after the cabinet meeting, Erdogan said inter-city travel restrictions had been lifted in nine more cities as Turkey gradually reduced anti-coronation measures.
The restrictions on the three largest cities, Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, remain in force.
