In a Twitter message, which was even posted in Turkish, French President Emanuel Macron is in favor of dialogue in the eastern Mediterranean.
“At Axazio (ss.: During the recent MED7 Summit in Corsica) we sent a clear message to Turkey: we reopen a responsible dialogue, in good faith and without naivety. The same message was sent by the European Parliament. It seems to have been heard. “Let’s move on,” the French president posted on his Twitter account.
The French president’s move comes hours after Reuters revealed that NATO was keeping a secret discovery of a heated incident between French and Turkish ships last June.
